Art Access/VSA Utah is pleased to partner with The King's English Bookshop for a book signing with Temple Grandin, recipient of the first Peek Disability in Media Award. The book signing will take place at Art Access on November 3, from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Dr. Grandin, a doctor of animal science and professor at Colorado State University, is a person with high functioning autism, and is well known for her work in autism advocacy.
The book signing event at Art Access is part of a series of events taking place on November 1-3 in and around Salt Lake City through a partnership with The Utah Film Center, the Disability Law Center, O.C. Tanner, the Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation, and several other community partners. The events are aimed at increasing community awareness about disability and the critical role that media can play in promoting understanding and acceptance.
Books will be available for purchase during the book signing and the public is invited to attend this free event.
