The Weber State University Department of Performing Arts presents the WSU Jazz Ensemble Tuesday, November 23 at 7:30 pm in the Allred Theater, Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $6/$5. Those with military identification will receive the student price. Tickets can be purchased at the Dee Events Center Ticket office: 1-800-WSU-TIKS or at the Browning Center Box Office beginning one hour before curtain. Children eight years and older are welcome to attend. 

This concert will present the music of the Big Band era with some of the pieces featuring vocalists.

No music is more evocative of a period of American History than the Big Band sound. The remarkable thing is how it still continues to appeal to audiences of all ages. Expect to hear music by Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington and more, played with the youthful enthusiasm of our fantastic WSU Jazz Ensemble.
