Job Description – September 2011
Development Associate
This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hour a week) The individual will work with the Festival’s development director on fundraising events, membership program, research potential funding sources, and update the donor database. In addition, this individual will run the Festival’s Discount and Group Ticket Program.
Experience:
2+ years of development experience in a nonprofit setting.
Experience with database systems. Knowledge of Microsoft word/excel
Specific Duties:
Assist the Development Director in managing the Festival’s individual donor program “Friends with Benefits” to include:
Updating member donations into database system (Giftworks)
Assist with annual mail campaigns
Oversee and run the on-site Member Patio, the hospitality area for donors during the four days of the Festival.
Assist with member-only events throughout the year
Assist with researching potential funding sources including corporate, foundation and government leads as well as individual donors.
Assist in the planning, management and implementation of annual fundraising events including the Tardy Mardi Party and Art Attack 5k.
Oversee the Festival’s Discount & Group Ticketing Programs which includes the online discount ticket program, any special group discounts offered online, partnerships with third party sellers, and the 4-Day Pass program.
Assist with Festival set-up and strike.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Hourly range: $15-$19/hr.
