Utah Arts Alliance Announces an Exhibit of Fine Art:

GHOSTED PHOTO SERIES by Bella Ora Studios, Todd and Renee Keith

October 4 through October 29, 2011.

Opening Reception: Friday October 7th, 6 – 9 p.m.

Location: 127 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah

Gallery Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, Noon – 8 p.m.

The Utah Arts Alliance will present an exhibit of original fine art, “Ghosted Photo Series”, by Renee and Todd Keith of Bella Ora Studios.

The exhibit will be on display from October 4 through October 29, 2011. The opening reception for the artists will be held Friday October 7th from 6 – 9 p.m., at the Utah Arts Alliance Gallery, 127 S. Main St., Salt Lake City, Utah.

The theme for the October Halloween show will be a ghosted photographic series which will include multiple and long exposure pieces. This effect creates a blending of imagery done within one frame and manipulated lighting to ghost the subject in a variety of poses. This beautiful ghosting photography technique captures movement and light in a unique

medium which gives strong lingering emotions to the pieces. Besides some texture overlays, the final images are not a digital photo-shop composite but rather single photo frame with a long shutter speed capture to overlay and present the models as displayed.

Todd Keith, “We've had a great time working with many amazing models and locations while building the series and appreciate the combined efforts which helped us create the series and present it for display. We hope viewers will enjoy the energy and emotion we capture with each of the pieces in this fun series.”

Renee Michelle Keith was born in California in 1979, and raised in Utah. Renee is a

freelance and commercial photographer for iStock Photo and Getty Images. Renee discovered her passion for photography in 2002 when she picked up her first digital camera. By 2004, she had founded the SLC Photo Club (www.slcphoto.com) and turned her focus full time to commercial photography.

As a lifelong self taught artist, she enjoys creating powerful images that strike an emotion. She has spent years developing her own eye catching style. Her love for many other art mediums often influences her photography work. She is also a talented painter, sculptor, potter, and designer. Renee states, "Photography is one of my greatest passions. I surrounded my life by it and focus on it every day! I love working with people, and creating more than just a portrait."

Todd Keith was born and raised in Utah and has lived in California, Washington, British Colombia, Hawaii, Florida and Italy. He owns and manages BellaOra Studios Photography in Saratoga Springs, Utah, with his lovely wife Renee, where he works full time as a commercial freelance photographer for iStock Photo and Getty Images.

Todd's interest in digital design, graphic art and his love of photography often can be found in his composite imagery that blend multiple images into a final photo work of beauty. When asked about his work he stated, "For me a photograph is slice of life, a moment in time captured and preserved to share the emotion, energy and story of the moment. I hope my work will preserve and reflect these moments in a fresh and unique viewpoint which will endure and touch those who experience my art."
