Weber State University Department of Performing Arts presents the Weber State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Michael A. Palumbo, in its second concert of the 2011-12 season Sunday, November 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Austad Auditorium of the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts. Children 8 years and older are welcome to attend.
This concert will be devoted to one work, Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 9” (Choral). The orchestra will join forces with the WSU Concert Choir, conducted by Dr. Mark Henderson, and soloists WSU faculty member Dr. Karen Brookens, soprano; Aubrey Adams, mezzo-soprano; Karl Christensen, tenor; and Charles Hamilton, bass for this performance.
Tickets for the concert are $6 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and those with military I.D. They can be purchased in advance at Dee Events Center Tickets, 1-800-WSU-TIKS. WSU students who pick up a complementary ticket from the Department of Performing Arts office, room 331 in the Browning Center, will be admitted free. Children 8 and over are welcome to attend. This concert is partially funded by student fees.
