Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks (ZAP) oversees the funding of approximately 160 cultural organizations. They have the lofty challenge of facilitating the application process for hundreds of non-profit organizations within Salt Lake County.   ZAP is therefore looking for a well-organized person who can coordinate the application process, manage the brown bag networking program, assist in the implementation of the ZAP social media plan and overall administration of the program.  They will have  an in-depth knowledge of and genuine interest in arts and culture.  They will appreciate the various technologies available and help enhance the ZAP program efforts to digitize and streamline the application process.

Position Description:
JOB SUMMARY Provides overall administration of the arts and cultural grants programs and manages the brown bag networking series.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Arts Administration, Public Administration or other closely related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assists in the administration of the annual grant application process.
  • Revises applications and guides as necessary, provides training and technical assistance to non-profit arts and culture applicants.
  • Assists with the preparation and compliance of contracts and agreements following Federal, State and County requirements and ordinances.
  • Manages the monthly brown bag networking sessions.
  • Implements data collection and prepares reports based on application data.
  • Prepares monthly invoices.
  • Assists with meeting planning and logistics. Prepares minutes for advisory board and other meetings.
  • Assists in the development, oversight, and implementation of the ZAP social media plan and updates the ZAP website.
  • Assists with special projects and research.
  • Files documents and oversees retention plan.
  • Assists in the oversight of potential interns.
  • Represents ZAP on task forces and committees.
  • Attends recipient and applicant activities.
  • Assists with program development and implementation.
