Film, gaming, literature and art continue to facilitate a renaissance of the fantasy genre. Join us as we celebrate and explore the topic in a fun and public medium. The release of the first installment of Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy, and the final installment of Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson's Wheel of Time series, "A Memory of Light," this winter, create the perfect opportunity to explore the genre in depth, with activities for all ages.

Flight From Shadow Exhibit
Travel through a world of fantasy at The City Library. Throughout December and January, The City Library will display sets, costumes and more from the Wheel of Time themed fan-film Flight From Shadow. Trek through the displays on a quest where you will find a tavern set, horse and armor, costumes, a dice table, and more. If you succeed on your journey, finding all the items on the map, a great prize could be in store. Return your quest-card to the browsing library to be entered in a drawing for prizes from The Hobbit. Good luck!
**Join us at the Main Branch of the Salt Lake City Public Library for an exhibition of sets, costumes and props from our recent production inspired by the Wheel of Time book series written by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.

This exhibit is spread between all four floors of the main, downtown branch and the five satellite branches. It is part of the Worlds of Fantasy event which also runs until the end of January.
Be sure to pick up a quest card from the welcome desk. If you visit all locations, you can enter to win a fantastic grand prize at the exhibit's end which will include official Hobbit Film schwag, exclusive film props from "Flight from Shadow" and other exciting fantasy related goodies!
Please feel free to share this with anyone who you think might enjoy the experience. It is family friendly and free to the public.
