Utah´s History - Now Online at a
Blazing Speed
Utah´s many-layered
history is now easy to explore in a new online format. The public, including researchers, students,
educators, family historians, businesses, tourist organizations, and
communities, can now quickly search through all of Utah State History´s
publications at http://history.utah.gov/publications.html.
The searchable
database includes the distinguished 85-year-old Utah Historical Quarterly, Utah´s
award-winning county history series, Utah
Archaeology, Utah
Preservation, Beehive History, and more.
Historical topics from Ancient peoples to Zion National Park
are easily searchable; a community can gather historical stories to enhance a
tourist´s experience; and a building owner can learn about historic
preservation.
"These
publications are truly a goldmine that would have been lost had State History
not preserved them," said State History director Wilson G. Martin. "And now more people than ever will be able
to access these publications and use the knowledge of Utah´s past."
