Utah Arts & Museums awards Arts Project Grants

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Arts & Museums has granted $57,140 in Arts Project Grants to 33 organizations across the state. The purpose of Arts Project Grants is to enable organizations and groups whose primary mission may or may not be arts-based to develop and provide arts-based projects to the general public. Examples of arts projects include festivals, exhibitions, concerts or other innovative public presentations that advance the arts in a community or geographic region. There are two rounds of Arts Project Grants each year. The next deadline will be May 31, 2013.

“Arts project funding allows a broad range of organizations to engage artistically with their communities,” said Margaret Hunt, Director of Utah Arts & Museums. “We hope this funding will continue to encourage artistic innovation and collaboration across Utah.”
